Growth Partner Terms
These terms govern your participation in the Build My Event Growth Partner Programme. By using your referral link or accepting these terms in your partner dashboard, you agree to them.
Last updated: 21 July 2026
1. Parties and scope
This agreement is between you (the "Partner") and Division 1 Systems Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company number 17300786), which operates Build My Event. It supplements our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. If you are also a supplier on Build My Event, your Supplier Agreement continues to apply to your supplier account separately.
2. Joining the programme
Partners join either by applying and being approved, or by being enrolled automatically when they complete supplier onboarding. We may decline, suspend, or remove a Partner at our discretion. There is no fee to join, and being a Partner creates no obligation to promote us.
3. Your referral link and how you promote us
You are given a unique referral link and code. When you promote Build My Event, you must:
- be honest and accurate, and never misrepresent Build My Event, its features, or pricing;
- make clear, where relevant, that you may earn a commission (disclose the affiliation as required by applicable advertising rules, including the ASA/CAP Code);
- not use spam, unsolicited messaging, misleading claims, fake accounts, or paid advertising that bids on our brand names or trademarks without written permission;
- not imply you are employed by, or speaking on behalf of, Build My Event.
4. Commission
You earn 15% of the subscription revenue paid by a supplier you introduce, for their first 12 paid months. Attribution is first-touch: a supplier is credited to the first Partner whose link they signed up through, and to one Partner only. We may offer an adjusted personal rate to selected Partners at our discretion.
No commission is earned on:
- free trials;
- failed or uncollected payments;
- refunds, chargebacks, or disputed payments;
- cancelled subscriptions (for the period cancelled);
- your own supplier subscription, or self-referrals.
Commission is only created once a subscription payment actually clears, and is reversed if that payment is later refunded, charged back, or disputed. We may withhold or reverse commission we reasonably believe results from fraud, abuse, or a breach of these terms.
5. Payments
Commission is paid in GBP through Stripe Connect to your connected account. You must complete Stripe payout setup before you can be paid; we never see or store your bank details. Payouts run on a monthly cycle for commission that has cleared and been approved. We are not a bank and do not hold your funds beyond the time needed to process a payout.
6. Taxes
You are responsible for all taxes, duties, and reporting on the commission you receive. Nothing in this agreement makes you an employee, worker, agent, or partner (in the legal sense) of Build My Event. You act as an independent party.
7. Prohibited conduct
Fake or fraudulent signups, self-dealing, cookie stuffing, incentivised or coerced signups, trademark abuse, and any attempt to manipulate attribution or commission are prohibited. Breach may result in forfeiture of unpaid commission, reversal of paid commission, and removal from the programme.
8. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may change the programme, including commission rates and rules, on reasonable notice; changes apply to commission earned after they take effect. Either party may leave the programme at any time. On termination without breach, commission already validly earned and cleared will be paid in the normal cycle.
9. No guarantee and liability
We make no guarantee of any level of earnings. To the extent permitted by law, our liability under this agreement is limited to commission validly earned and payable to you. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions? Contact support@buildmyevent.co.uk.
