Acceptable Use Policy

1. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• create fraudulent listings, fake profiles, or misrepresent your identity or business;
• harass, threaten, discriminate against, or abuse other users;
• send spam or unsolicited marketing through platform messaging;
• circumvent the platform's payment systems to avoid fees or protections;
• scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the service without our permission;
• upload malware, attempt to breach security, or disrupt the service;
• post unlawful, infringing, or grossly offensive content.

2. Payments through the platform

Transactions arranged through Build My Event must be paid through the platform. Taking payment off-platform to avoid fees or to bypass buyer and seller protections is not allowed and may result in removal.

3. Reporting violations

If you see content or behaviour that breaches this policy, report it to support@buildmyevent.co.uk. We review reports and take action where appropriate.

4. Consequences

Depending on the severity, a breach may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform. Serious or unlawful conduct may be reported to the relevant authorities.
